Tokyo Raw subtitle attempt
I am eager to move forward on the Tokyo film project while I wait for my Peter Bay interview. He needs to postpone until the end of April. In the meantime, I will meet with Rose Taylor tomorrow to look at Debussy songs.
I made an attempt at subtitling for one interview segment of the Tokyo film. The owner of the Hotel New Azuma and another photographer are discussing the culture of Kiyokawa in Minami-Senju, Tokyo. The flickering unfortunately is florescent lights and I do not know how to fix that in post.
Should I change the position or color of subtitles or should I do a voiceover narration? I would like my Japanese friends and participants to be able to hear the original Japanese, but I could do a fadeout with an English voiceover.
Any ideas?

I think I will leave subtitles but make sure they do not interfere with the images. This film will be for a wider screen in any case and after some testing the subtitles work. I also want to preserve the voices of those interviewed.
