Feux d’artifice

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:53 pm by anthonytobin

My benefit recital for Chamber Music Amarillo on November 3rd went very well. I recorded two of my favorite Debussy Preludes from Book II during the rehearsal the night before. I posted La Terrasse des audiences du clair de la lune on my YouTube videoblog.

Feux d’artifice is below:

I am preparing for my trip to Paris November 16th to capture footage worthy of Debussy and his transcendent works. Learn more about this project at the main Debussy Piano site.

Really enjoyed these pieces and your Debussy website. What a karma to be a composer or player who hears sounds his/her contemporaries don’t or can’t or simply won’t. Likewise, to remain with one style when most people have moved on. Seems so lucky when any art finds a public.

Thanks for visiting and registering and for your input.

Yes, it is exceptional to find a voice as Debussy did. But I am finding the more one focuses on the art, the more one absorbs and tries to be an open filter, the more possible it is to create a reflexive reality that can have a universal appeal.
